here's a picture of my beautiful babies... tom and jerry. they're brothers. we first saw them at a HRSS adoption drive in march and it was love at first sight. they were sitting in a cage at the middle of the display grounds. but felt we were still not ready for rabbits at dat time. so we went home n started preparing a home for bunnies. buying cage, preparing shelter from rain, reading up plenty of info on keeping them. finally we were ready. by this time we were delighted to know that tom n jerry were still up for adoption and they were still with their then-owner who lives in yew tee (so near my place! god's will! hahaha). so we visited them, and found out they were children of the owner's first pair of bunnies. now including she's got tom, jerry, their sister and their parents... 5 bunnies is too much for her so she decided to give them up for adoption (see THIS is why i always tell ppl not to let their buns breed!) tom n jerry only had their names given on the day of the adoption for convenience of identification. they were nameless before that... when we saw how curious n lively they were , we knew we wanted them and decided to bring them home the next day. been shuttling to paul's house almost everyday to see my babies. thank god for my personal diesel van really. i call them 'babies' dat cos they're simply so precious to me!

this is jerry. he's all greyish-brown... has a shorter, somewhat dwarfy face. we're thinking of getting him neutered. he's the milder of the 2. more settled, less panicky but also rather domineering. the smarter of the 2 i think cos he's also the first to respond when we give them food, but he always leaves after he's had his fill. and lets tom finish the rest. but he's a real picky eater.

this is tom. he's got shorter fur n one lop-ear... paul's mum always says his ears 'wai-wai' i.e. crooked. haha... he's the sillier of the two n more kaypoh but more endearing... he's already neutered so tends to b frenlier with us, but he's very easily excited... like kan-chiong spider, often overreacts when there's a sound. n a real glutton!

so these r my babies... we might get a 3rd one after jerry's operation. having is a financial burden n my mum nags at me for loving them so much, always buying vege n stuff for them. but watching them hop around happy is a real stress reliever. teaches u patience n a thing or two about parenthood... anyway if anyone's interested in getting bunnies. please adopt and don't buy. petshops r not at all reliable and some r actually selling u sick bunnies n teaching ppl all the wrong info. buying from pet shops is encouraging cruelty to animals. let me know if u're interested in bunnies. cheers. out
